My little girl is turning 2!

I can't believe she is about to turn 2! It amazes me how awesome God is that an idea would turn into a growing little human then be born and grow into such a curious little person. Lilian will be 2 on Thursday and today we celebrated with our family. It was so much fun. She unwrapped the gifts and was super excited about everything even the cards. I made her a blue's clues cake since that is our current favorite. It was a bit of work but totally worth it - Especially when she shouted out "Tues, Tues!" That's Lilian for Blue's clues:) Another milestone...now to really hit up potty training:)

My New Year

New Year's Resolutions...what a cliche! But isn't it necessary to evaluate your life and make changes. I think the start of a new year is a great place to do this, of course we should regularly make this effort throughout the year as well. We went to the wedding of a good friend last weekend and I was reminded of my own wedding and the carefree college days of my "youth". Something I have been working on in 2008 and want to continue in 2009 is definitely not letting the stress of daily life steal the joy of my
youth. So onto my list of goals for 09

1. REALLY rely on GOD
2. Get healthier...continue consistent workouts, eat healthier, lose weight
3. Show more love to my family
4. Strengthen friendships I have
5. Build new friendships
6. Work on becoming debt free!
7. Be less of a consumer

On a side note to #2... I know losing weight is the biggest new year's cliche but to defend myself, since my daughter was born january 15, 2007 I have lost 72 lbs, so I know I will continue that in 2009!

I know 2009 is going to be an amazing year and I am so excited for it! I don't think I have ever been this excited for a new year:)
